West Brom of England attacker Peter Osaze Odemwingie was not shortlisted among the names of the players for the 2012 African Player of the Year Award.
Speculation were all over that Osaze would find his way into the CAF list having bagged 10 league goals for the Baggies last season but to the surprise of football fan he name was left out.
This came as a shock to the former Lille of France player. who has already netted three goals in the season underway and is looking to make a Super Eagles comeback after been overlooked since February after a poor show against Rwanda in an AFCON qualifier.
