Following the death of Asamoah Gyan's mother the Ghanian forward has been given an option to withdraw from the Black Stars' squad to face Cape Verde in a friendly match next week.
His mother died in a car crash in Accra on Tuesday.
The Ghana FA said Gyan will star for his UAE side Al - Ain on Thusrday before flying to Accra the following day though the intention of the former Sunderland of England player is not yet known
