Just like in the EPL the final match that precedes the commencement of a new season in the NPFL the Charity Shield is slated for tomorrow at the National Stadium Abuja. The game between Paul Aigbogun’s side, who sealed a seventh Nigeria topflight title, and Maurice Cooreman’s men will be played at the National Stadium, Abuja.
Following Enyimba lifting the NPFL title and Akwa United winning the FA Cup they will both meet in the Charity Shield this season. This will be the second successive appearance for Enyimba having defeated Kano Pillars 2-0 to win the last edition while this will be the first appearance for Akwa United
