Manchester United may not make any more signings

Manchester United may not sign any more players before the summer transfer window closes on Tuesday, but Victor Valdes and Jonny Evans are both on their way out of Old Trafford.

The Daily Mail claim there is a “growing belief” at Old Trafford that the departures of the two out-of-favour Manchester United players will be the only two concluded transfer deals before the window shuts next week.

Manchester United fans are still hoping Louis van Gaal and Ed Woodward will secure the services of a marquee signing but it seems they could be left disappointed come 6pm on Tuesday.

The report adds that United are unlikely to sign either Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller or Southampton winger Sadio Mane as their respective clubs have no desire to sell, while Gareth Bale is set to stay at Real Madrid as he bids to silence his critics at the Bernabeu.

David de Gea is still determined to secure a move to Real Madrid before the transfer window closes, but the Daily Mail say Manchester United’s stance remains the same they will not sell the Spain international for anything lower than their asking price.
