Liverpool's transfer dealing last summer brought a lot of anticipation which was short lived as a number of big money additions failed to produce at the club.
Mario Balotelli has paid the price for his lacklustre performances
last season for the Anfield club, joining AC Milan on a season long
loan.
It appears Lazar Markovic could be the next to leave Anfield with Sky Sports reporting the Serbian is in talks over a loan move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.
The major difference between Balotelli and Markovic would be that the 21-year-old still appears to have a future on Merseyside and could force his way back into contention after a loan spell.
Liverpool forked out a fee of £20 million to bring Markovic to the Premier League from Benfica, but the wide man failed to live up to his price tag, scoring three goals in 31
appearances.
