Football took a dark turn in India when Peter Biaksangzuala 23, a defensive midfielder who plays for Bethlehem Vengthlang FC which features in the Mizoram Premier League a Local league in India passed away trying to celebrate a goal during a match on tuesday.
The 23 year old who was aspiring to make it to the national league in India had just scored 62nd minute equaliser against Chanmari West FC and decided to celebrate with an acrobatic somersault when traget struck. According to a source" He was trying to do Germany's Klose signature flip stunt, but it misfired unfortunately"
Following to celebration's dark turn Biaksangzuala was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where it will be revealed that his spinal cord had been damaged, he spent five days in the hospital before he finally lost his life.
His last rites would be performed at Khawzawl, 120 from the state capital of Aizwal. Teammates at his current club, Bethlehem Vengthlang FC, seemed shaken as it was revealed the club would retire his jersey, number 21.
Peter in a brief career had plied his trade at clubs in the Mizoram Premier League such as FC Kulikawn and Dinthar FC, the latter of which he helped reach the Independence Cup final. Stints at Langkiuria FC in Meghalaya and Shillong club Nangkiew Irat preceded his signing for Bethlehem Vengthlang FC.
He enjoyed playing as a tough central midfielder.
