With two minutes left in the game Wesley Sneijder's two spectacular long-range strikes sent Galatasaray to top of the
Turkish Super Lig with victory over Fenerbahce.
In a fiery encounter between the fierce rivals in Istanbul, the visitors were reduced to 10 men when Bruno Alves was sent off for violent conduct.
Olcan Adin hit the post for the hosts before Sneijder scored from 25 yards in the 88th minute.
He added a second from 35 yards before Alper Potuk netted from six yards out.
The win means Galatasaray, who host Borussia Dortmund in Champions League Group D on Wednesday, jump from third to first in the Super Lig table.
However, Besiktas, two points behind in second place, entertain Sivasspor on Sunday and will return to the top with a victory, while Fenerbahce drop to fifth, three points adrift of Galatasaray.
